Celebrates Community Health Center Week Early
Plainfield,
Vermont - July 5, 2006

The Health Center in
Plainfield, Vermont hosted members of their Congressional delegation
for a site visit and celebration of the center’s new status as an
FQHC Look-Alike in July. Pictured from left to right are Dr. John

Laconia,
New Hampshire - August 7, 2006
Congressman Jeb Bradley (second from left)
visited the construction site of the new Laconia location for Health
First Family Care Center, as part of Community Health Center Week
celebrations. The former mill building is under renovation to serve the
community of Laconia with low-cost apartments on the top three floors,
and community health and wellness centers on the ground floor. Joining
Congressman Bradley (l. to r.) are Licy DoCanto, assistant director for
federal affairs, National Association of Community Health Centers, Rick
Silverberg, executive director, Health First Family Care Center and Tess

Senator John Sununu made a site visit to Ammonoosuc Community Health Center
in Littleton, New Hampshire on Monday, August 7th as part of Community Health
Center Week. He was joined on his tour of the center by (l. to r.) Tonya
Eastman, former Ammonoosuc board member, Schuyler Sweet, board member and
treasurer, Senator Sununu, Norrine Williams, executive director, and Teresa
Brooks, staff member.

New Hampshire - August 7, 2006

Senator John Sununu visited Indian Stream Health Center in Colebrook, New
Hampshire as part of the statewide celebration of Community Health Center Week.
Indian Stream is the newest Federally Qualified Health Center in New Hampshire
and serves a rural population in the northern tip of the state. Pictured from

director of Ammonoosuc Community Health Services welcomes those attending the
August 14th “Breakfast with Bass” celebration for Community Health Center
Week. Attendees included local community leaders and State Senator John Gallus
in addition to representatives of the North Country Health Consortium and the
other two North Country Federally Qualified Health Centers—Coos County Family
Health Services in Berlin and Gorham and Indian Stream Health Center in
Colebrook.
