Community Health Centers celebrated in New Hampshire

Community Health Centers are community-based nonprofit organizations providing cost-effective primary health care, prevention, education and social services to suit the needs of the communities they serve. New Hampshire's Community Health Centers served over 101,000 patients, providing more than 425,000 primary medical and dental visits to vulnerable families and children. Furthermore, they served as the family doctor for over 20 percent of the state’s uninsured residents. The patient payer mix for all the Community Health Centers includes 27 percent uninsured, 18 percent Medicaid, 16 percent Medicare and 39 percent insured. In addition, NH's Community Health Centers employ over 800 staff statewide, contributing more than $61 million to their local communities.
